Every release of Eclipse Launcher is uploaded to VirusTotal and scanned by 59 antivirus engines before it reaches your PC. 58 of 59 report it completely clean. The one that flags it is an AI/machine-learning heuristic — not one traditional signature-based engine detects a thing. We link the live report below so you can check every line yourself.
Why the single flag? It is an ML guess — Trapmine reports Suspicious.low.ml.score, and the ml.scorelabel marks a heuristic prediction rather than a signature match. Heuristics like it fire on ordinary launcher behaviour: spawning a Java process, writing to AppData, updating itself. Microsoft's Wacatac.C!ml flagged an earlier scan of this same installer and has since cleared it, which is exactly how these false positives fade as a release builds download reputation. Code-signing is what removes the rest.

No Hidden Processes
Eclipse doesn't run background services, miners, or telemetry daemons. When you close the launcher, it's gone. Nothing lingers on your system silently.
Encrypted Authentication
All authentication flows — both Microsoft premium and offline cracked accounts — are handled through encrypted JWT tokens over HTTPS. Your credentials never touch our disk in plaintext.
Verified Game Files
Every Minecraft JAR, library, and asset is downloaded directly from Mojang's official servers with hash verification. We never serve modified game binaries — what you run is the real thing.
Secure Server Tunneling
When you host a server through Eclipse, we use trusted third-party tunneling providers like ngrok and playit.gg to handle connections. Your real IP is never exposed to players — all traffic routes through their encrypted infrastructure, keeping you safe.
Minimal Permissions
Eclipse only requests the permissions it absolutely needs — file access for game data and network for downloads. No webcam, no microphone, no contacts. Nothing sketchy, ever.
Secure Auto-Updates
Updates are delivered through a cryptographically signed pipeline. Every update binary is verified against our public key before installation — if the signature doesn't match, the update is rejected.
